Scaling
and Polishing is the process of removing
tartar from the teeth that normal brushing and flossing leaves behind.
Hand-scalers, polishers and ultra-sonic instruments will be used to achieve
this goal. The cleaning is usually performed by an hygienist but it can also be
performed by your dentist.
